A Grand Night of Music at the Brodhead United Methodist Church

The Brodhead UMC United Women in Faith are hosting their second evening of music on July 25 beginning at 6pm. The event will feature Dan Holmes from Belvidere, Illinois. Dan has performed in the US and United Kingdom, presenting original and inspirational songs on his guitar. He believes he is called by God to celebrate through music His extraordinary presence in an ordinary world.  The evening will also include Brady & Chris Ochalla from the Albany United Methodist Church. Brady had his first solo performance when he was 4 years old and his music has been inspired by his dad, Chris, and the amazing performers he has grown up listening to at the Albany UMC.

The event is free to the public and all are invited to stay for a dessert fellowship following the music.

The Brodhead United Women in Faith recently presented a scholarship to Nolan Oliver, a 2024 graduate of Brodhead High School. Nolan, the son of Al and Jamie Oliver, is a Confirmed member of the Church, active as a Sunday School teacher, helper with Vacation Bible School and other volunteer opportunities. He has been involved in the FFA, athletics and was Salutatorian at Brodhead H.S.  Nolan will be attending Nicolet College in Rhinelander in the Fall. 

In awarding the scholarship, CarolSue Wolter noted that Nolan has “exhibited a strong tie to the church and the community.”
